About the Author
Richard Hoefer is associate professor at the University of Texas at Arlington. He holds a Master's degrees in social work and political science, and a joint Ph.D. in the two subjects from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Professor Hoefer is director of the School of Social Work's Legislative Internship Program, and he has served as President of the Texas National Association of Social Workers' political action committee.

Well written, easy to understand

This book is small but a very good resource. I hate reading or buying books where it seems that the author purposely is just trying to show off his superior intellect by cramming as many big words as he can in each sentence. This book is skillfully written for knowledge and not showmanship. It was worth buying.
