a good reference!

This book has a basic coverage for forest entomology. It gives a fairly good description of orders, some good pictures, and basic descriptions of forest pests with more focus on the most important ones. I would prefer a bit more information on some hosts, such as whether all are native or exotic (which is not always supplied), what time of year they do damage, how many generations do they have per year, and what sorts of pest control are applied. These things are not always given, but then, I suppose if it told everything about all of them, it woudl be a much larger, more expensive book.
